Is it possible for an Indian boy who finished his master's degree in India to do his PhD in USA?
An L2 visa holder is allowed to study in the US and can stay as long as his/her sponsor is assigned to the US by his/her employer. As for whether the boy can get a PhD in the USA, it depends on what is being studied, how good his grades were, the reputation of the Indian university, and so on. To do a PhD you need to find a mentor to sponsor your dissertation, and some subjects are easier to do than others.
